Marco Baccin new ambassador to Cuba

Baccin Marco (pictured center), and 'the new Italian Ambassador in Havana. The appointment, recently approved by the cabinet, and 'was released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following approval of the government concerned.
Born in Rome in 1947, Baccini degree in political science at the University 'of Rome in 1973 and joined the Foreign Service in 1975. Among the positions held during his career, after a period at the Directorate General for Migration, 1979 to 1981 and 'vice consul in Metz.
After a period at the Directorate General for Economic Affairs from 1983 and 'in Montevideo, where and 'confirmed the Council in 1986.
return to Rome, Baccin since 1986 and 'the Political Affairs Department. Since 1991, he served in Madrid before returning to Rome in 1996, reporting directly to the Director General of Economic Affairs. Since 1997, and 'Head of the Secretariat of the Directorate General since 1998 and' Head of the Secretariat of the Secretary of State.
Appointed Minister Plenipotentiary in 2000, Baccini and 'put out of service of a role for the City of Rome as Diplomatic Adviser to the Mayor in 2001.
Appointed Commander of the Order of Merit of the Republic in 2005, since 2006, and 'Head of the Secretariat Deputy Minister. From 2008 and 'reporting directly to the Director General for Development Cooperation and then became co-ordinator for Action for Development Cooperation aimed at achieving the Millennium Goals set by the United Nations (ASCA).
